WHY REGISTER

What is MyMedicare?

MyMedicare is a free and voluntary Australian Government initiative designed to strengthen the relationship between you, your preferred medical clinic, and your regular GP.

The program is designed to support better continuity of care, particularly for patients managing chronic conditions or requiring ongoing medical support.

Registration is completely free and optional for patients with a valid Medicare card or Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) card.

who can register?
You may be eligible to register if:
  • Have a valid Medicare card or DVA Veteran Card
  • Have attended Vital Dental & Medical for:
  • 2 face-to-face visits in the past 24 months, or
  • 1 face-to-face visit for patients living in a residential aged care home
  • Have a child under 18 registered at the same practice
  • Are experiencing family/domestic violence or homelessness

Parents or guardians can register children under 14 years of age on their behalf.

You can register through your:

  • Medicare online account via myGov
  • Express Plus Medicare mobile app
Simply search for Vital Dental & Medical and select your preferred GP.

Register with us at the clinic

Our friendly team can assist you with the registration process during your next appointment. If you hold a DVA card, registration may need to be completed in-clinic using a paper form.
